Manny (A568600) is the perfect example of a dog who knows how to have a good time all by himself. He walked well on leash and was easy to redirect anytime something interesting caught his attention. He also takes treats very gently and was easy to handle throughout our time together.
Manny has a note on his kennel that he is not a playgroup candidate and prefers solo play, and honestly, he seemed completely content doing his own thing. As soon as we got to the big yard, he found his favorite ball and happily entertained himself the whole time. I even put my foot near the ball as if I might take it away, and he showed no guarding behavior at all — no growling, no tension, just continued happily playing like nothing happened.
He also met Oakley through the fence at the big pen and handled the interaction well. Manny seems like the kind of dog who would thrive with someone looking for an easygoing companion who enjoys toys, walks, and doing his own thing while still being sweet and gentle with people.
