Maxine (A568791)
Maxine is a petite pup who is easy to leash up in her kennel and doesn’t ask for much but is happy to snuggle with you and get a chance to get some fresh air. Maxine wasn’t feeling too well when I last saw her so I wasn’t able to introduce her to any other dogs and she was much lower energy that I expect she’d be if she was feeling 100%. Maxine has previously participated in playgroup in the Gentle Dainty grouping of dogs, and her notes read: “steerable, semi-engaged, to self, curious but nervous”.
Maxine got a chance to use the bathroom outdoors and then received plenty of snuggles from the happy paws photography team when she had her photoshoot done. She showed that she especially enjoys butt and back rubs and would prefer those over treats. Maxine was not jumpy or mouthy during our time together and while she wasn’t feeling very well, she does seem like she’d likely be a medium energy pup overall and could fit into many families looking for a small bully type dog who loves affection and is happy to please!
To foster Maxine, please email fosterPGCpets@co.pg.md.us
To adopt, please visit Prince George’s County Animal Shelter in person, Tuesday - Friday 11am - 7pm or Saturday 10am - 4pm. You can read more info on adoption here: https://www.princegeorgescountymd.gov/departments-offices/environment/animal-services/pet-adoption
