Weight: I weigh approximately 61.00 lbs.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since May 22, 2026.

Quasim’s handsome face peered out at me from inside the kennel and it seemed as if he was saying, “pick me”, so of course I did! Quasim was easy to leash up in his kennel and pulled hard to go outside but then went potty multiple times in succession. He appeared to have been “holding it” and used the opportunity of the walk to make sure that he got everything out of his system. When I see a dog do this, it’s usually because they’ve been house trained before and really don’t want to have to go in their kennel.
Quasim showed me that he’s had some prior training. He’s a big strong dog and pulls on leash, which I found very understandable as he’s not getting walked every day and is likely frustrated from “holding it”. He does respond immediately though to my request to “sit” and “wait” for photos and has an adorable stuck-lip grin (you know I’m a sucker for that!) as well as the cutest ears that stick out like bat wings and perfectly accent his handsome face. Quasim takes treats gently and enjoyed the hot dog pieces that I brought for him.
Quasim is very interested in other dogs and wanted to watch other dogs while they were out walking with volunteers and staff. I introduced him to friendly adoptable Husky Arctic (A569722) through the fence in the run and Quasim mirrored her bouncy and playful body language so I brought him into the parallel run for them to play. The two bounced together and at one point Arctic even gave Quasim a little kiss through the fence.
Quasim would do well in a family who can accommodate for regular walks and or playtime with him. He might enjoy a similarly-playful dog sibling in his future adopted home to run and play with.
