A two year old, male, 51 lb Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
An absolute ray of sunshine whose adorable, wobbly house hippo bounce will instantly brighten your day! ????
Sugar Ray had a tough start when he arrived as a stray with deep back leg/hip lacerations. After some needed rest, healing, and recent X-rays to ensure he's on the mend, this resilient boy hasn't let anything break his happy spirit. He still favors his backside a bit when he runs, but that just adds to his incredibly charming trot for now!

?? The Jolly Ball Champion: Sugar Ray is a playful guy, and the moment he spotted a blue Jolly Ball, it was game over! He proudly carried his prize around with the happiest little strut you've ever seen.
?? Treat Enthusiast: He loves treats—and puts 100% effort into *trying* to catch them (with hilarious and endearing results!).
???????Gentle & Level-Headed: While he hasn't joined playgroups yet due to recovering, he showed impressive composure when another dog snapped at him. Sugar Ray just gave a polite little grumble and moved right along. More evaluations to come on his dog friendliness, but the shelter does also allow meet and greets. Proper decompression with slow introductions to resident pups is always recommended when bringing a new pet home.
?? Balanced Personality: He enjoys a good pet, but he also loves his independence. He’s perfectly content exploring, sniffing around, and doing his own thing.
?? House Manners: He pottied right away as soon as he got outside! A great sign that with routine he will get the hang of things pretty quickly! He also knows "sit" and "come."
