Meet Lacey (A569940)! ??

If you’ve been looking for a dog who is the perfect mix of unique charm, polite manners, and absolute sweetness, Lacey is ready to steal your heart! She has been diagnosed by the vet with a grade 3 heart murmur, which warrants further investigation, but she has a mountain of love and a whole lot of heart to give the right family.

Why we love Lacey:

? A Total Looker: With her big, glorious bat ears, her undeniably cute underbite, and her compact little body, Lacey is a walking masterpiece of adorable.
???????A Dainty Leader: Miss Lacey has impeccable walking etiquette. Instead of being walked, she daintily takes the leash in her mouth and will proudly take *you* for a stroll. She is gentle, patient, and already knows how to "sit" and "come" when called.
?? The Queen of Low-Key Snugglin’: Because of her heart murmur, Lacey needs a home that embraces a calm, relaxed, and low-key lifestyle she needs. Strenuous exercise isn't her thing right now, but she is a gold-medalist in shade-lounging. She happily spent her outdoor time soaking up the breeze, snuggling close, and politely accepting treats... *lots* of treats!

Lacey is proof that the best things come in small, sweet packages. She is a gentle soul who just wants a peaceful place to rest her head, show off her cute underbite, and shower her favorite human with affection.

If you have a quiet home and a big heart to match hers, come meet our lovely Lacey today!

?? Lacey hasn't been in playgroup due to her heart mumur, however, on our walk we had a very unexpected doggie visitor that caught us by surprise and the two ladies luckily hit it off very well!

? Please note: The shelter can be a stressful and scary place, and a dog’s behavior here may not fully reflect how they’ll blossom once they feel safe and decompressed at home.

Lacey is available to foster or adopt at Prince George’s County Animal Shelter located at 3750 Brown Station Road Upper Marlboro, MD
