Eraser (A568502)
Eraser is a stunning boy who wants to make sure that he isn’t forgotten. He’s bark in his kennel, but just because he’s been passed by so many times that he wants to make sure that he isn’t missing out on a walk. Eraser is easy to leash up and definitely knows the way to the exit, he pulls me all the way there. Once we are outside, I understand his barking and persistent jumping. Eraser is house trained. I always hesitate to say this definitively UNLESS the dog has a totally clean kennel and uses the bathroom more than twice on a walk. Eraser pooped three times while we were out so falls into the “has definitely been holding it in the hopes that he got a walk that day” category.
Eraser knows “sit”, “wait” and “here” cues and has the signs of a dog who is frustrated over his long stay (and lack of appropriate potty breaks!) but has also had a prior life that likely included some training and a family who took the time to work with him. He’s young, energetic and not thriving in the shelter but also not falling apart at the seams either. Eraser has participated in shelter playgroup previously in the Rough and Rowdy group of dogs. His notes state, “steerable, tolerant, takes corrections, gives warning, playful at times, sexually motivated”

The shelter just started renovations to the room in which Eraser lives, and if he doesn’t find a new home within the next week or so, he will be moving into a crate and likely getting even fewer potty breaks than he’s getting at present. Please consider fostering or adopting Eraser now!
