??Meet Tank! A569173??
Tank is a 98lb, unaltered 5yo red Boerboel mix who has been waiting at the shelter since 4/23/26.
It is so easy to love Tank! He has a calm, steady presence and the kind of quiet soul that stays with you long after you meet him. He is the goodest boy and a truly special dog. Honestly, his “worst” trait might be how he jumps up for a hug when it’s time to go back to his kennel, almost like he’s asking his person not to leave him behind.
Tank isn’t the type to constantly demand attention or climb into your lap right away. He’s happiest taking his time sniffing, exploring, and just enjoying the world around him. But if you give him patience and kindness and earn his trust, he opens up into an incredibly sweet, loving boy.
Tank is easy to leash, walks nicely, and potties outside right away. He enjoys treats, knows “sit” and “paw”, and has participated in playgroup. Overall, Tank is a gentle, well-mannered boy who would likely thrive in a quieter home where he can finally relax and feel secure.
And on top of all that — he is oh-so handsome! His beautiful red coat and soulful expression make him impossible to forget.
Tank deserves so much more than a kennel. He deserves someone willing to see past the stress of shelter life and recognize the loyal, gentle boy underneath. For the right big dog/guardian breed lovers, Tank is going to be an incredible addition to the family.
? Please note: The shelter can be a stressful and scary place, and a dog’s behavior here may not fully reflect how they’ll blossom once they feel safe and decompressed at home
