Bio: Bella is a happy girl. In the beginning she is very apprehensive with meeting new people. She needs a few weeks to adapt to getting used to her new home. Sometimes in the beginning she will be anxious when you leave and perhaps bark a bit to get your attention. But once Bella realizes she has her own home and her own family she starts to blossom in her personality.
Bella is an old gal with lots of puppy still in her! She will roll around in a dog bed with a big smile and even lately started to play with a stuffed toy and run happily thru the house. At times her face has a multitude of expressions, which show how she feels. Bella has a huge appetite so her meals will need to be regulated to avoid overeating and unwanted weight gain. She needs to lose a couple pounds, so it's great that she walks well on a leash. She seems to have a hard time going up stairs, which may be attributed to her weight. Bella also seems to enjoy car rides. She is house trained, but I also have a large pee pad down and she will use that when she needs to. Bella knows some basic commands like "no", "come here" "ride" "go outside" "hungry" and possibly others as we are discovering.
Bella likes being petted and her tummy rubbed when she rolls on her back.
She is ok with other dogs but if they get too close she will reprimand them appropriately. She will need much time to bond with another dog but prefers to be your one and only.
Cats and kids are unknown.
Bella came to PACC because her owner wasn't able to take care of her due to health issues. She was brought in with her companion, Chipper. Sadly, Chipper lost his fight with a liver tumor.
Bella does have some health issues but is being treated by PACC.
A perfect home for this senior lady would be a retired person where Bella can be totally loved and doted on and get all the attention she deserves and craves.
