Bio: Sweet senior alert! If you’ve got a soft spot in your heart and your home for a deserving senior pup, look no further! Gizmo is a super cute senior lowrider with personality for days; he loves people, walks, toys and affection!
Gizmo came to the shelter when his owners could no longer care for him and is looking forward to finding himself a comfy retirement home where he can be the apple of his new family’s eye! Gizmo’s former family said that he loves toys, knows tricks, and is playful but can also be a couch potato. He loves to be by his person’s side but also has an independent streak. He reportedly did well with young children and small dogs in the home.
Gizmo found himself at risk due to shelter overcrowding and spent some time in a foster home. He did great around teenagers, was house trained, and liked to play tug o’ war and dismantle his stuffies. He was described as cuddly, loving and deeply attached to his chosen people. He’d love to find a home where he can be with his family as much as possible!
Here’s what Gizmo’s friends at the shelter have said:
“Gizmo is a super sweet boy. He was easy to leash to exit the kennel with and he LOVED his walk around the lake. He enjoyed watching and listening to the other dogs in the park. He is a social sweetie who would much rather be out with his volunteer friends than cooped up in a kennel!”
“Gizmo has been a very good boy the last few times I took him out. He’s definitely stressed around his kennel, but once he’s outside, he walks great! I enjoy our walks together.”
Gizmo has been independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re a sucker for stubby legs and an adorable white muzzle, Gizmo would love to meet you!
