Bio: Pandas are generally shy, reclusive, and solitary animals that prefer to avoid humans and stay hidden in their forest habitats. Our sweet, sensitive Panda is also shy, but he’s working hard to learn trust and form bonds with his human friends. Panda was confiscated from his from his former home and has been understandably overwhelmed in the noisy shelter environment. Luckily our Panda found himself in a foster home who have been patiently letting him come out of his shell. These are the notes from his foster home:
Panda is a gentle soul with a heart as soft as his favorite blankets. Panda was rescued after being abandoned, and when he first arrived at the shelter, he was extremely shy, scared, and unsure of the world around him. Thanks to the patience and love of his foster home, Panda has slowly begun to blossom into a sweet, affectionate companion.
Panda is discovering how fun life can be. He absolutely loves soft places to nap and will happily burrow himself under blankets whenever he gets the chance. He enjoys chewing and enthusiastically destroying toys, and he’s currently learning how to play and wrestle appropriately with other dogs. While he can be a little possessive of toys around other pups, his foster family has not observed any food aggression.
One of Panda’s favorite things is being close to his people. He’s a calm, gentle boy who loves cuddling beside you and has recently started gaining the confidence to ask for attention and affection on his own. Watching him come out of his shell has been incredibly rewarding.
Panda already knows some basic tricks and is eager to learn more — he’s a smart dog who picks things up quickly when given patience and encouragement. Beneath his shy beginnings is a loving, loyal companion ready to find a forever home where he can continue building confidence and feeling safe.
If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow best friend who will gladly share your couch, your blankets, and your heart, Panda may be the perfect match for you.
