Butterscotch will need ample time to adjust to her new home. Placing her in a quiet sanctuary room with food, water, a bed, toys, a scratching post, and a litter box will help her adapt. The room should include hiding places as well as a few perches where she can feel safe and observe her surroundings. Once Butterscotch has acclimated to the room, you can begin a slow introduction to other animals and the rest of the house. She will require plenty of patience during this transition.
