I am a female, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 8 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 28, 2018.
The name Carmen means "song", and this beautiful lady has an epic song full of longing and sadness, but mostly hope. Carmen is one of our longest residents, who for some reason has been overlooked, and has never found her forever home. It can be that she acts intimidating, and barks when meeting new people. We think its her way of protecting herself. Carmen likes to approach people at her own pace. But if you meet her with an open heart, and a trusting hand, she will want to be around you all of the time! Carmen loves her toys, and to play in the water; she really enjoys kiddie pools to cool off in the summer. She can be choosy about the dogs she plays with, and likes to be the boss! She would do best in a home without children and tall, secure fence. Even though she's a senior lady, she still has some incredible "hops"! The amazing thing about Carmen is even though she's had a life of being the underdog, she still has a song in her heart. Carmen just needs someone to hear it.
Carmen is at our main ranch location! Email dogswmr@gmail.com to learn more information about her!
