Hi there! My name is Hoss, and I’m an 83-pound Terrier mix with a whole lot of strength, an even bigger heart, and enough love to fill a house! I may be a big, powerful boy, but underneath all these muscles is a HUGE cuddle bug who just wants to be loved. I’m a polite gentleman when meeting new people, though I might eventually decide that your lap is the perfect place to park my big ol’ head! I absolutely adore attention, all-over body rubs, and especially those wonderful butt scratches. Praise, treats, food, and playtime are all things I get excited about, and you can bet I’ll be your biggest fan if you tell me what a good boy I am! I’m also a curious guy who enjoys checking out new places. I might seem calm and collected when I first arrive somewhere, but once I get comfortable, my playful side really starts to shine! I love all kinds of toys, especially balls and fluffy stuffed toys. However, if you give me a stuffed toy, just know that I might have a little fun taking it apart! What can I say? I have my own special approach to playtime! When it comes to finding my forever family, I’m hoping for someone who appreciates a big, slobbery lovebug and has the strength and confidence to handle a dog of my size. At 83 pounds, I’m a very strong boy, and I may pull on the leash, so I’ll need someone who can safely manage my strength while helping me practice good leash manners. Once I’ve gotten all my wiggles out, though, I’m happy to settle down right beside you and enjoy some quality cuddle time. Oh, and did I mention that I LOVE being brushed? Seriously, it might be one of my favorite things ever! If you want to make me happy, grab a brush, bring out a fluffy toy, and tell me what a handsome boy I am. I’ll happily soak up every bit of attention you have to offer! I’m a big guy with an even bigger capacity for love, and I’m ready to find someone who will appreciate both my playful strength and my affectionate, cuddly side. If you have room in your heart for a giant lap dog who comes with plenty of slobbery kisses, toy-shredding adventures, and endless love, I might just be your perfect match!
My adoption fee of $90+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
