Meet Motley — a little dog with a BIG heart and so much to offer!
Motley is an 8-year-old, 25-pound Beagle mix who might just be one of the smartest, most well-mannered dogs I’ve ever met!
Here’s what makes this boy so special:
• Housebroken!
• Sleeps like a champ in his crate.
• Walks pretty well on a leash (although bikes and scooters are tempting to chase! ??).
• Knows SO many commands, and we’re discovering more all the time!
• Loves a soft chew toy and a good game of tug-of-war.
• Loves being outside and going for walks.
• At 8 years old, he’s past the puppy stage but still has plenty of playful personality!
Now, here’s what Motley needs most: PATIENCE.
He’s had a rough month and needs time to decompress and feel safe in his new surroundings. Slow introductions are a MUST. He needs someone who understands that building trust takes time and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace.
Once he has that time and patience, I truly believe someone is going to discover what an amazing companion he can be. He has so much going for him — he just needs someone willing to give him the chance to show it.
Could you be the person Motley is waiting for?
Because Motley needs slow introductions, he will not be attending adoption events. To schedule a meet and greet, please fill out an application here:

Please share to help this sweet boy find the loving forever home he deserves!
