I am a male, buff and white Domestic Shorthair mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 6 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Apr 23, 2026.
Some kittens are content sitting quietly in the background. POET would like to know why anyone would choose to do that!
This playful 4-month-old believes attention isn't optional; it's a requirement. Poet loves being in the middle of the action and has somehow mastered the art of making sure all eyes remain exactly where he wants them... on him!
Whether he's chasing toys across the room, climbing to the highest point he can find, or dramatically inserting himself into whatever you're doing, Poet approaches life with endless enthusiasm. He is playful, social, energetic, and always searching for his next adventure. He's also incredibly affectionate and enjoys spending time with his people almost as much as he enjoys playtime.
Poet is currently enjoying the luxuries of a foster home with lots of furry siblings (dogs and cats) - suggesting he would do well in a home with other animals as long as proper, slow introductions are performed! He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and FIV/FeLV negative.
If you're looking for a kitten with a huge personality, a love for attention, and enough energy to keep you smiling every day, Poet is ready to take center stage! Please fill out an adoption application on our website - for any additional information or questions, please contact the shelter at wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com or (920) 279-9795.
