Hi, I’m Rasta! I’m a big, friendly guy with an even bigger heart, and if you’re looking for a dog who is always happy to see you, I might just be your guy. I love attention, I enjoy a good play session, and I’m generally a pretty good boy on leash. I’m also quite polite when meeting other dogs and seem to enjoy having canine friends around.
Now, I should probably mention that I have a bit of a… hobby. I like to collect things. Socks, toys, random objects left lying around — if it’s small enough to fit in my mouth, I may decide it belongs to me. Unfortunately, I don’t always understand that some of my treasures are not snacks, and I have been known to swallow things I shouldn’t! My future family will need to be good about keeping small objects out of reach and helping me understand that not everything is a chew toy. I can also be protective of things I’ve decided are mine, including food, so my humans will need to respect my space and be prepared to continue working with me on sharing.
The good news? I am VERY food motivated, which makes training me both easy and fun. I’m also a fast eater, so a slow-feed bowl will help me remember that dinner is not, in fact, a competitive sport. And when I get really excited, I may occasionally forget just how large I am and try to say hello with all four feet pointed in your general direction!
Because I’m a big guy with some boundaries around personal space, I’m looking for an adult-only home or a home with older, respectful kids who understand that dogs need their space too. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, food-loving big boy with plenty of personality, I’d love to meet you!
