You see, I consider myself a rather sophisticated fellow. I enjoy a comfortable home, pleasant conversation, a good brushing, and a window with an unobstructed view of the neighborhood. I don't need to be involved in everyone's business, but I do believe it's my business..
When I'm not attending to neighborhood affairs, I'm quite fond of a proper head rub. I also appreciate a good brushing, preferably from someone who understands that maintaining this handsome appearance requires a certain level of dedication.
And yes, I do enjoy a bit of playtime. I find anything on a stick particularly entertaining. I also have a favorite piece of furniture: an arched scratching pad. There's something rather satisfying about having a designated place to tend to one's claws. I find it much more civilized than simply attacking the furniture.
Now, I should mention that I am something of a conversationalist. I enjoy talking to my people. I have thoughts, observations, and occasionally complaints that deserve to be heard. I'm not suggesting you need to agree with everything I say, but I do expect the courtesy of your attention.
I'm a little reserved around unfamiliar people, particularly visitors. I prefer to take my time getting acquainted rather than throwing myself at every stranger who walks through the door. Once we've become acquainted, however, you'll discover that I have plenty of affection and conversation to offer.
I've also lived with another cat before, although we weren't particularly close. I suppose we were more acquaintances sharing an address than lifelong companions. With the right introduction, I would be okay sharing my home with a respectful feline.
