Meet George!
George is the sweetest boy! He came from a hoarder situation and is a bit shy and therefore needs a little time to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. He can be a bit cautious when you first meet him, so a gentle approach and a little patience will go a long way.
Once George decides you’re one of his people, you’ll discover his favourite thing: head and chin scratches! He absolutely loves them, but he prefers gentle pets and calm interactions. Sudden or loud movements can make him nervous, so take your time and let George come to you as you make your way into his heart.
One of the sweetest things about George is how gentle he is, even when he’s telling you he needs some space. He’ll give you a little swat and keep his claws tucked away.
When he’s feeling playful, George loves playing with wand toys, and he’s also got a healthy appetite, so treats may be another way to win him over!
If you’re looking for a gentle companion and are willing to give him the time and patience he needs, George could be the perfect match.
Could George be your new companion? If you would you like to make George a part of your family, please complete our online application found at: www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.
Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.
Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
