I am a male, white and brown Domestic Shorthair mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 7 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since May 21, 2026.
***Sashimi and Sushi were being fed by a caring feeder for about 6 months, before plans to rescue them were put in place to bring these friendly boys in from the outdoors. Although they are not biologically related, they are true brothers of the heart and are ready for their furever home!
Sashimi is a great big brother. He ensures that Sushi is well groomed and must know where Sushi is at all times and will go looking for him if he can’t see him. Sashimi will play on his own terms when he wants to. He does enjoy his mouse, which he throws around and runs after with great focus.
Sashimi is vocal while Sushi is the silent type.
They both love their food and treats. They will sit patiently waiting for their food. Looking like the little angels they are. When it’s not treat time yet, Sashimi may go into the box and help himself to some if not properly secured. He is a smart and resourceful cat, able to figure out how to open boxes and cupboards!
They have recently been introduced to one of the resident cats. Although Sushi isn’t interested, Sashimi wants to explore further interactions (could be because it’s a female). They like to explore and enjoy their window time.
When Sushi jumps up to settle down on a lap, Sashimi will also claim a spot on the chair so he is not left out; but if there is room on the lap/legs for him to nestle in too, he is happy to oblige. He may not want to be petted all the time, but he needs to be close by.
Sushi and Sashimi are tightly bonded brothers. They look for each other and will meow if they can’t see each other. They are looking for a family with lots of love to give and lots of lap times available.
Would you like to make them a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.
