I am a male, white and black American Pit Bull Terrier and Labrador Retriever.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Sep 11, 2026.
Denver is a mix of Lab Retriever/American Pitbull and possibly some English Pointer. He’s a big boy with a big heart. He weighs 77 pounds, is approximately three years old, and was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 9/11. He is so gentle and unassuming that you don’t even notice his size. He is white with black and gray patches, freckles on his nose and shiny brown eyes. He has a balance of calm confidence and playful charm. He sits on command. He’s generous with kisses. He’s very attentive, friendly, alert, sweet, loving, and tail-wagging happy! He had a slight pull on the leash, and may be housetrained. He stood by the door waiting and indicating he wanted to go back inside where it was cool and comfortable. I can see him snuggling on the couch and giving plenty of kisses to his human companions.
