Meet Chester! This big, goofy boy is looking for an active family ready to keep his clever brain and busy body entertained - and to give him lots of lovin’! Chester is people-friendly, eager to please and treat-motivated, making positive-reinforcement training a fun way to build his skills and confidence. He greets his friends with a wagging tail and happy face, and enjoys his daily walks, playtime and snuggles! In previous homes, he lived successfully with children, cats and a senior dog. Because Chester can be excitable, we recommend dog-savvy kids, confident cats and active, similar-sized canine companions in any future home. While he has done well with animals in home environments, he does have a history of reacting rather strongly to them while on leash and is working hard on managing those big feelings. Chester also experiences significant separation anxiety and will need a family committed to helping him feel safe and comfortable when alone. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic sidekick who wants to be wherever the action - and his people - are, Chester could be your guy!

- open to kids, supervised interactions required, lived with kids before
- open to dog-savvy cats, slow intros required
- open to dogs of similar size and playstyle due to excitability pending successful intros
