Calie is a 1.5-year-old calico girl with a playful personality, a curious mind, and a silly side that shines as she grows more comfortable with her surroundings! Although she is still nervous around people and is not yet comfortable with physical interaction, she has plenty of personality to share with someone willing to give her the time and patience she needs.
Calie loves exploring her environment and investigating all the interesting places she can find. She enjoys hiding under and between furniture, lounging on beds, stretching out for a nap, and finding elevated surfaces where she can observe the world around her. She is also a big fan of windows and watching everything happening outside!
Playtime is where Calie really shines! She loves chasing strings, feathers, and small plush toys, especially when she gets to play with a wand toy alongside her person. She may even meow at you when you stop playing, letting you know she isn't quite finished with the fun!
Calie is still fearful of direct human interaction and will typically run away if someone tries to approach or pet her. She will need a patient home that understands she may take time to feel safe and comfortable with people. For now, she is happiest interacting through play and having the freedom to approach at her own pace. Her future family should be prepared to let trust develop gradually without forcing physical contact.
