The story of Trippy & Ruby:
Ruby was a stray cat living on the streets of Detroit for 2-1/2 years. I watched her outside, trying to feed her I kept getting eviction notices for feeding the cats, but I had noticed that she appeared to be blind in one eye and I wanted to get her off the streets. It was supposed to be like a capture and home type of situation.
Once I got her, I realized she had this mangy looking hair everywhere. She was losing her hair. She was licking it off and for the first month all she did was lick her hair off. I took her to TailWaggers to get vaccinated and to get seen.
Then I realized about a week or two after having her that I believed she was pregnant.
So I kept her so she would have the babies safely. It was to be temporary that I was going to take care of her.
She had the kittens there were three of them
She was extremely feral and she didn’t get along with anything or any animals at all. I was having a difficult time getting her ready to find a home
And this is where she met Trippy. Trippy was a stray cat in Detroit a while ago. I rescued Trippy. He was a street cat and I took him in. It was snowing outside in the middle of a winter storm and I was just going to bring him inside to stay warm, but then I couldn’t have the heart to put him back outside so he’s been staying with me. Well he never bonded with any of my cats but when he met Ruby, they became pals.
Trippy finally found an animal that he befriended and Ruby found an animal that she gets along with. They’re not perfect. They’re still new to each other, but it is good to know that they can make friends with other cats. So they are not really bonded and can be adopted separately.
