I am a male, tan and white Golden Retriever mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 3 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Mar 21, 2026.
Meet Buster, a young, energetic bundle of joy who is looking for his perfect family. Buster is the epitome of enthusiasm, a bit talkative at the shelter bur quiet in a home, always ready to play and explore. His curious nature makes every day an adventure. He enjoys leading the way on a leash with great enthusiasm. He knows the sit, stay, no, and come commands. Despite his jumpy demeanor, he's incredibly cuddly and friendly, making him a great companion. However, Buster is still learning the ropes and needs a bit of training to channel his boundless energy. He weighs 44 pounds, enjoys going for walks and won't run away if off leash. He also likes running and toys. Even though he can be independent, he still doesn't like being by himself for long. However, he can be rough with other dogs but does well at the dog park. He especially enjoys the water there. He is not suitable for homes with cats. He might be better with older children because of his size and jumping. He was given up because he was too jumpy for a disabled family member. He can be a bit shy and nervous in new situations. Adopting Buster means embracing fun and active days, and providing him with the guidance he needs to become the perfect pet. (tw 8/15/2026)
Foster Notes: Foster Note:
Buster is your typical underdog. He found his way to the shelter as a puppy and adopted soon, then returned to the shelter a few months later. CAP noticed his stress and potential, provided him 2 foster breaks. Buster was able to dust himself up in the first foster home and displayed how smart he was, getting fully potty trained and crate savvy. In his second foster home, he was able to shine with other dogs and brave into the water and learned to swim in days! He is very quiet when left alone and well mannered; your pet monitor wouldn't even register motion for hours. He just sits there, no barking, no chewing, not playing with anything, maybe contemplating how he can make this home forever. Buster is at the prime age for training and he has already blossomed into a wonderful pet. When you meet him, he might be conditioned to shy away, give him time to tell his own story, and embrace you in his own way. Would you be the one to infuse confidence in little Buster and assure him that there is no need to fear, coz you will always have his back? If you would like additional information about him or would like to meet him, you can contact her foster at kaihongli@hotmail.com or (281) 409-4496. (PA 8/8/26)
