FATSO WOULD LIKE TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT ABOUT HIS NAME. First things first: Fatso is not fat. Not even a little. What he is is 77 pounds of handsome, athletic, affectionate dog who loves leaning into his people for attention—and now we know he enjoys making dog friends, too.
Fatso has always shown us his softer side with people—he’s the big guy who leans right into you for affection. Now we’re getting to see another side of him in playgroups, too. Fatso likes having dog friends! He has been social, playful and confident with the other dogs he’s met. He’s comfortable getting right into the action and has shown us that he enjoys canine company. Fatso can sometimes try to take charge of the game a little—placing his head or a leg over another dog—but so far it has remained mild. Because we haven’t seen how he would respond to a dog who strongly objected, thoughtful introductions with potential canine housemates would be important.
With people, this 2½-year-old boy is affectionate, treat motivated and eager to connect. He also appears to be well potty trained—a pretty nice head start for a dog hoping to trade shelter life for home life. He is a guy who loves affection, loves treats and apparently thinks a good day should include both people time and playtime with friends.
