MEET SCOOT — A QUIET LITTLE LOVEBUG WHO HAS LOST HER PERSON. Scoot’s world has changed in a very big way. For the past several years, her favorite place was with her person—curling up in her bed, cuddling, and spending quiet days together. Sadly, Scoot’s owner passed away, and this sweet girl now finds herself at Animal Services looking for someone new to love.
Her family describes Scoot as very calm and loving. She can be shy and hide when she first meets someone, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality comes through. She likes being petted, enjoys being picked up, and is happy to settle into a lap. Her favorite pastime? Cuddling. She’s even been affectionately described as a “lazy kitty.”
Scoot has lived with another cat. When she later encountered unfamiliar cats who weren't very welcoming to her, she was frightened rather than aggressive. She has not lived with dogs. Her family reports excellent litter-box habits and no history of growling, hissing or biting people. Scoot lost the person who was her home. Maybe someone reading this can become her home again.
At four years old, Scoot has a lot of life—and a lot of cuddling—still ahead of her. She may just need someone willing to give a shy girl a little time to realize she is safe again.
