Description: My name is Stitch.
I am a male, brown Mixed Breed mix.
I am a male, brown Mixed Breed mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 8 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since May 18, 2026.
Stitch came to us as a unclaimed stray. He is a mixed breed, 35lbs and is guessed to be a little over 1 year old. He has done well with meeting our cats and dogs. He has showed us signs that he is not use to being around other dogs so he may be one to become easily overwhelmed when dogs get to be too energetic. A meet and greet between your dog and him is a must. He can be selective with new people and may bark or nip at them, because of this he MUST be in a low traffic, adult ONLY home. His adopter must be willing to work on this behavior with him which may require hiring a trainer/behaviorist.
He is food aggressive when it comes to other animals, so he will need fed separately. He will become food aggressive with people if they try to take his food while he's eating so we do not recommend messing with him while he's eating. Again he was a stray so we don't know what he's been through. He does seem to have some potty training and knows the command "sit". He's a very easy walk and loves to cuddle with his people. He does have separation anxiety so crating him when not home may be best for him.
