I am a male, tan and black German Shepherd Dog mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Oct 20, 2026.
Buddy’s Compatibility:
Dogs - Has lived happily with dog pals
Cats - No kitties, please
Kids - Yes
Buddy is a big sweetheart who loves having his ears rubbed, and with ears that size, there’s plenty to rub! He’s gentle and polite, and he’ll happily show off a few tricks for a snack. Toss a tennis ball or a stuffed toy his way, and he turns into a wiggly, happy goofball. He isn’t picky about comfort, either. Any blanket or bed will do just fine.
Buddy has moved around a lot in his life, so he’s still learning what it feels like to have a home of his own. He gets a little worried when he’s left alone, which is very normal for a dog who’s had so many changes. A home where someone is around most of the time would make him so happy. Before you head out, a game of fetch and a frozen chew toy filled with something yummy can help him relax. He’ll also need a little help learning the potty routine at his new home.
Buddy is a smart boy who loves learning, and he’d do great with someone who enjoys teaching him new things. If you have a dog at home, bring them to HSHC so our team can help them meet and make sure it’s a good match.
Come give Buddy’s ears a rub at HSHC. He’s ready to be somebody’s best buddy for good.
