Hi! I'm Romeo, and just like my namesake, I'm a young, handsome gentleman with a heart full of love to give. They call me something of a sensitive soul, meaning that for me, it's not always love at first sight; it might take a little while to earn my trust. But with a gentle approach, a bit of time, and perhaps a little fine dining to really win me over, we'll be well on our way to a beautiful friendship. What have I got to offer, you ask? Well, for one thing, I am super smart -- I've already got "sit" and "down" in my repertoire, and being a quick, eager student, I would love to learn more with you. I've also got a silly, playful side once I've come around. Despite my shy demeanor with strangers, I'm actually pretty energetic, which I think would make me a great adventure buddy! Plus, I'm neither too clingy nor too independent; I enjoy doing my own thing sometimes, but when it's time to hang together, I'm all about my people. I would prefer a home without kids, but I might enjoy a canine companion.
As Shakespeare wrote: "My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite." Could I be your partner for life? If so, please visit the shelter and meet me today. Let's change the story and find our happy ending together!
This pet is part of our Foster-to-Adopt program. You will meet this pet more than once before entering into a 3-week trial placement in your home. You will be matched with a behavior expert to help you and your pet through any bumps in the road during the trial placement. When all parties agree it is a match, we finalize the adoption!
