I am a female, tan and brown German Shepherd Dog mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 13 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Apr 22, 2025.
Hello, I’m Hazel — A seasoned German Shepherd with wisdom, loyalty, and just the right amount of sass. At 12 years old, I’ve mastered the art of enjoying life’s simple pleasures: sunny naps, peaceful strolls, lounging in the yard, and keeping a watchful eye on my people.
I’m looking for someone who appreciates an older girl who still has plenty of love to give, but also respects that sometimes I enjoy my personal space. Think “independent woman with a soft side.” Once I trust you, you’ll have a devoted best friend for life.
I get along wonderfully with both little and big dogs, and I do well with people who understand that senior dogs deserve patience, kindness, and a cozy place to relax. A fenced yard where I can safely wander and sunbathe would be my dream setup.
What I’m Looking For:
Someone calm, compassionate, and experienced enough to appreciate a strong but loving personality. Bonus points if you enjoy quiet evenings, loyal companionship, and giving forehead kisses to a beautiful shepherd girl.
If you think we might be a perfect match, contact the wonderful humans at SPARC and ask to meet Hazel. I’ve been waiting patiently for my forever person — maybe it’s you.
