Hello I'm Luma!
I’m a handsome 9 yr old brindle Pittie with quite a heartbreaking story.

I first came to the local shelter as stray in March of 2024. Due to my sad demeanor and stress struggles at the shelter I became a volunteer and staff favorite.  But I almost didn’t make it, I survived kennel cough that turned to pneumonia and a severe lung infection at the shelter.  I was adopted twice but after my first adoption I was found dumped at a remote hiking trail and was extremely emaciated. The second time I was adopted, I was returned due to separation anxiety. Yet, shelter staff and volunteers were amazed how I still remained resilient, sweet, and trusting after everything I had been through.

SPARC saved me from euthanasia on May 6th and Angel's Training and Boarding is working with me on crate training so I have a safe place when my future family leaves me home. I really love to be around my human, lay on a couch, butt scratches, treats, walks, and car rides! I will show you how affectionate I am once I get to know you. Oh and my super power is that I’m a professional at giving puppy dog eyes.

I'm losing a bit of my eyesight so I am wary of fast moving objects like bikes and that can frighten me. I love going on outings and exploring new places with friends.

I am looking for a loving, patient person to spend my senior years with. Ideally, someone who works from home, retired or I would be a good companion for someone who drives a lot for work since I love car rides! I would do best if I’m your only fur baby and I promise I will shower you with all my love and appreciation. Let's go on a Doggy-Day-Out together so I can show you what a wonderful companion I am.
