I am a male, brown Pit Bull Terrier mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 11 weeks old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 10, 2026.
Kato is an adorable 8-week-old puppy who is currently thriving in a foster home while he learns all about being a well-mannered little companion. His foster family has been helping him build confidence, improve his social skills, and work on his house training. Like any young puppy, Kato is still a work in progress! He has sharp puppy teeth and is learning that fingers, toes, and household items are not chew toys. He loves playing with his toys and is always ready for some fun, so a family prepared for the energy, patience, and commitment that comes with puppyhood will be the perfect match. Kato is looking for a home with a social, confident adult dog who can help show him the ropes and provide a positive canine role model. Because of his puppy energy and learning stage, he would do best with kids ages 10 and older. Kato is not a match for homes with cats or small dogs.
His ideal family will understand that bringing home a puppy means continuing his training, socialization, and house training while giving him plenty of structure, patience, playtime, and love.
Please note: Kato is not currently residing at the shelter. He is in a foster home. If you are interested in learning more about Kato or the foster-to-adopt process, please email foster@cuyahogacounty.gov.
Kato is ready to find his person and grow into the amazing dog he is meant to be!
