Saintly Klaus is ready for his throne!
Fittingly, Klaus arrived at EHS from a municipal animal shelter during the Christmas season. Like his namesake, Santa, Klaus has a big, bold personality and is ready to settle down in a place of his own.
ABOUT KLAUS
- At shelter
- Klaus is a gentle, laid-back, big-hearted cat with striking markings and fluffy feet!
- Klaus has recently graduated from our shy cat program. While it takes him a bit of time to let his guard down, he has shown so much progress with people!
- He needs to feel safe before showing his softer side and, at this point, most interaction with him is initiated by the volunteers.
- Klaus loves to perch on top of his cat tree and watch the world from above. He also enjoys listening in on all the kennel’s gossip, even tilting his head when someone speaks to him. - He loves to receive pets on his head and cheeks, often arching his back in delight and leaning in for more.
-Klaus loves to roll around excitedly on the floor of his kennel during playtime. He is especially fond of his wand toy.
- Klaus has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.
- A cat with FIV may be overlooked, but with routine vet care and a loving home, cats who have FIV can live a long, healthy life.
- Klaus is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.
KLAUS’ IDEAL HOME
- Klaus prefers to be the only cat in the household.
- Klaus does not require medication, but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.
- A skittish cat, like Klaus, will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.
- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Klaus settle into his new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Klaus with a successful transition to his forever home.
Always nice and sometimes naughty, Klaus is ready to retire his past life and begin anew in his fur-ever home. If you’re ready to give Klaus a soft place to land, apply to adopt him today.
