I am a male, white Domestic Shorthair mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Mar 05, 2026.
I’m Pluto, and I am a very shy but sweet boy.
I spend my days tucked in my blanket. While other cats peek curiously from their beds or interact with visitors, I stay buried under my covers, trying my hardest to disappear.
I came here after a difficult beginning, and I am still learning that I am okay here. Every day, I hear feet passing, doors opening, voices talking—so much movement, so many unfamiliar things—and all of it makes my heart race.
Yet when gentle hands reach in to touch me, I never lash out or grow angry. I just flinch, because kindness is something I am only beginning to understand. Somewhere along the way, I came to believe that shutting down and making myself invisible were the only ways to protect myself.
But my hidden heart aches for something real that can only be found in a loving home. A home with nice people, soft voices, and love that does not ask me to be anything except what I am: a sensitive soul doing its best to believe that it matters.
I may not come running into your arms, or show you all of the feelings my inner world carries. But if you give me your patience, your caring, and your security, you will give me the gift of slowly learning how to come back to life.
