I am a female, black and white Mixed Breed mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 10 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Dec 29, 2025.
I’m Gemstone a 2 1/2 year old 47 pound mixed breed cutie and I have been at the shelter for 10 months, so please come and check me out. I have a compact body, short hair, engaging eyes and I am ready to be rescued. I am a smart, playful, happy puppy who enjoys being outside. I love playing fetch, cuddling, getting rubs, and my smile will light up your heart. I walk pretty well on a leash and am looking to form a love connection with a friendly family of my very own. Everyday I wear my best smile waiting for someone to fall in love with me!
I was a diamond in the rough when I arrived at the shelter just before New Year’s day as a stray. I don't remember much about where I lived but I do remember being scared trying to figure out life and staying clear of the cars, coyotes, and finding food. I have had months to decompress at the shelter and I am discovering the little goofball that lives inside me. I enjoy shadowing the shelter volunteers and I would do best in a patient home that understands my need to go at my own pace. With slow movements and a gentle, soft voice, you’ll see me relax and step into my joy.
I would do really well in a quieter home where my humans are consistent and predictable. If you have a mellow dog at home that could be a good guide and life buddy for me, bring them along for our 'meet and greet'. You could help me develop into an emerald, sapphire or princess cut diamond in no time!
I am spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines and house broken.
You can apply to adopt me through our U.S. military veterans rescue partners at www.petsforpatriots.org or just contact the loving folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays. Please come and meet me, a gem of a pup, so you can start to teach me tricks and spoil me with belly rubs.
