I am a female, red Bloodhound mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Sep 28, 2026.
Meet Dolly-
Dolly is a beautiful 3 year old Bloodhound. She is dog, kid, and people friendly, but does NOT like cats.
Dolly was surrendered by her previous owners because she didn’t have a fenced yard, has a high prey drive and likes to follow her nose. For her safety, Dolly must have a containment fenced yard.
She has lived inside, and been part of a family. As the family grew, Dolly got less time and never became fully house trained. Since being with us, she will tinkle in her kennel sometimes, but that’s all.
Dolly is a quick learner. She now walks on a leash and knows the command “sit”. She is treat motivated and loves interacting with our staff.
Dolly is fully vetted, weighs 76lbs, spayed, Heart-worm negative, chipped, and ready to find her forever home. If you love this breed, have a containment fenced yard and would like to make Dolly part of your family please go to charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org and fill out an adoption application.
Please email our shelter (smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals.
