I am a male, brown Pit Bull Terrier mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 7 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Feb 12, 2026.
King is a handsome, sensitive boy who may be a little shy at first—but give him a moment, and his curious, affectionate side starts to shine. Once he warms up, he enjoys being close to his people and leans into pets, showing just how much he wants to connect.
King is strong and energetic on leash, so he’ll do best with an experienced owner who can guide him and continue working on his manners. He’s very aware of his surroundings (especially other dogs), which can make him a bit overstimulated, but with the right structure and training, he has great potential to settle and thrive.
He’s social with people, often approaching to sniff and investigate, and he handles gentle touch well. While he enjoys attention, he’s still learning how to fully relax and would benefit from a calm, consistent home that can help him build confidence.
King will need to be the only pet in the home and is best suited for teens and up. With patience, training, and understanding, this loyal boy has all the makings of a devoted companion.
If you’re an experienced dog owner looking to make a real difference in a dog’s life, King is ready to meet you.
