I am a female, white and black Catahoula Leopard Hound and Treeing Cur.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 7 years old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jul 04, 2022.
Hi, my name is Daisy. I'm gentle soul with a heart full of hope.
I came to the shelter with my sister, Lily, after our owner could no longer care for us. Lily has found her new beginning, and now I’m patiently waiting for the person who feels like home.
I’m a smart, sweet girl who loves naps in the sunshine and slow, peaceful walks where I can take in the world at my own pace. I know “sit” and “paw,” I keep my kennel clean and I’m an easy walker on a leash. No rushing for me...I like to enjoy the moment.
Recently, the shelter learned that I may have some slight visual and minimal hearing impairments, likely related to my breed and my beautiful light blue eyes. It just means I sometimes need a little extra time to warm up to new people and new environments. With patience, kindness, and gentle introductions, I blossom. I’m a soft treat taker and love snacking on my comfy bed while I feel safe and relaxed.
I prefer a home without cats or other dogs. I want to be your one and only. Your love, your attention, your quiet moments… I want to share them all with you. I do have some storm anxiety, but my Thunderbites (over the counter calming medication) help me feel calm when the weather gets loud.
I’m a loving girl ready to give my whole heart to someone who sees how special I am.
I am heartworm negative, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will adore you endlessly, I’m right here waiting
