When Cookie’s elderly guardian became too ill to care for her and her feline siblings, her daughter reached out to SpayMart for help. Over three years later, all the others have found homes, but Cookie is still waiting.
Why? She’s shy. She hides when new people come around. And even though she’s a gorgeous calico with a gentle spirit, she gets overlooked again and again.
Cookie doesn’t have any health or behavior issues. She just needs someone who understands that not every cat is an instant lap cat. Someone patient. Someone kind. Someone willing to let trust bloom on its own time.
- A quiet home without dogs or children would be her safe haven.
- A soft voice and a gentle hand could be the start of her new chapter.
- A foster or adopter who sees her for who she is, not just how she acts on the first day.
