Meet Luna Wyrick!
Luna Wyrick is a 9-year-old girl weighing 79 pounds who is ready to find a family to call her own. She came to Winnebago County Animal Services as an owner surrender after her previous owners moved and were unable to take her along with them.
While she’s been with us, Luna has shown us that she can be a calm and comfortable companion when meeting new canine friends. During her dog intro with Buddy, both dogs showed interest in each other through the fence. Once they were brought together, both maintained loose body language with small tail wags. Luna wasn’t particularly interested in playing, but she remained calm and curious throughout their interaction. The two were able to walk side by side multiple times, even on dropped leashes, with no issues noted. Luna successfully passed her dog introduction.
Now Luna is hoping to find a loving home where she can settle in and enjoy her next chapter. If you’re looking for a calm, mature companion to share your days with, come meet Luna Wyrick during our open hours!
