Meet Winter!
Winter is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky weighing 43 pounds who is ready to find a family to call her own. She came to Winnebago County Animal Services as an owner surrender after her previous owner reported that Winter would regularly escape.
While she’s been with us, Winter has shown us that she can be a sweet and somewhat shy girl when meeting new friends. During her dog intro with Priscilla, Winter was interested but initially a little hesitant, allowing Priscilla to initiate interaction several times before eventually approaching her on her own to say hello. Once they were together, Winter remained on a dropped leash with loose body language and a wagging tail. Both dogs were lower energy throughout their time together, and no signs of aggression or discomfort were noted.
Winter is hoping to find a home that can give her the structure, patience, and security she needs to settle in and thrive. If you think this beautiful girl might be the right fit for your family, come meet Winter during our open hours!
