Meet Asa!
Asa is a 1.5-year-old mixed-breed pup who came to the ranch when he was just a few days old, meaning he has spent his entire life with Saving Hope. Now, this sweet boy is ready for the next chapter: finding a family of his very own! Asa is a total sweetheart who simply wants to love and be loved. In a home, he is calm, snuggly, well-mannered, and eager to please. He listens well, responds nicely to correction, and settles quickly once he's comfortable. Asa loves spending time with his people, bonds closely with those he trusts, and enjoys plenty of playtime, too. He has been neutered, is crate trained and house trained, and is up to date on all his vaccinations.
Asa would do best in a quieter home with older children, as the fast and unpredictable movements of younger kids can make him uncomfortable. He can react to fast-moving things, such as passing cars and dogs behind fences, so he'll need an experienced handler who understands his triggers and can provide the structure and guidance he needs to succeed. A secure yard is important to help keep him safe while giving him room to enjoy himself. Asa does enjoy playing with other dogs after proper introductions, and having compatible dog friends can be a great way for him to burn off energy and have fun.
After spending his entire life at the ranch, Asa deserves the chance to experience the comfort, security, and unconditional love of a forever home. He's a loving, devoted companion who has so much to offer the right family.
