I am a male, tan and brown Catahoula Leopard Hound mix.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 10 months old.
More Info: I have been at the shelter since Oct 08, 2026.
Aspen was surrendered by his owner. They reported that he has been in a home with cats (who were already used to dogs). Although he enjoyed chasing them, he did not try to hurt them. Aspen is great with other dogs, very playful and energetic! Dog owners with working dog experience might be the best fit for Aspen, particularly when introducing him to other dogs. This will help Aspen learn what is acceptable in the home and what is not! He does need work with recall and leash pulling. We strongly recommend a no pull harness or gentle leader. We also recommend a slow feeder for Aspen to keep him from inhaling his food. At his age, and with his sweet temperament, this boy appears to be very willing and able to learn. Come and meet this handsome young man 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Aspen is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.
