Sweet Maggie has been through so much for a little dog. At sixteen years old, she should be spending her days curled up on a soft bed, enjoying gentle walks and quiet companionship, but instead, she’s back at the shelter after losing her person. This gentle, buff-colored Corgi mix is as kind and steady as they come. She walks beautifully on leash, loves to take her time sniffing, and stays calm even when other dogs get worked up around her. Maggie recently had dental surgery to make her more comfortable and is in need of one more procedure to help her feel her best. She truly needs a calm, compassionate home where she can heal, rest, and be surrounded by love.

Volunteers who know Maggie describe her as mellow, affectionate, and dignified. She enjoys being petted, loves soft treats like string cheese and peanut butter, and will happily snooze beside her person after a leisurely stroll. Though her back legs are weak and she sometimes needs help with a sling, her spirit is as strong as ever. Maggie is tolerant, sweet, and appreciative of every bit of kindness shown to her. She’s simply looking for someone with a soft heart to give her the comfort and care she’s earned many times over. Maggie has so much love left to share, she just needs a home willing to open their heart to her in return.
