Bio: DC Comics superfans can tell you that Kara Zor-El is the original Supergirl, first appearing in the comic books in 1959. In the comics Kara is sent to Earth by her parents to be raised by her cousin Kal-El, aka Superman. Supergirl’s story in the comics was short lived, but she remains a true DC fan favorite. We’d love to introduce you to our own Supergirl; a sweet senior named Kara El! We don’t know how many lives she saved before coming into the shelter, but now it’s time for someone to save her! Kara El’s volunteer friends are rooting for her, with one telling us:
“Kara El is a friendly senior gal who seems anxious in the shelter environment (and who can blame her?) This old lady has a lot of pep left in her step and is friendly and easy to handle. I often take her to a play yard where she tends to pace rather than spend a lot of time looking for affection. I think she needs some time to decompress away from the noisy shelter so she can live out her golden years the way every old dog deserves too- napping and being doted on. A sweet girl who needs to leave the shelter behind!”
Kara El shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Every superhero deserves a good retirement, as does every dog! Kara El is looking for a loving home where she can relax and live in peace and comfort. If you’ve got a soft spot in your heart and your home for a sweet senior, come meet Kara El today!
