Bio: Every dog who comes into the shelter gets intake notes from our staff, and this boy’s intake notes are incredible! Even when first arriving at the scary shelter, Diesel showed himself to be an absolute treasure from day one. Staff said that Diesel is easy to handle, leashes up easily and walks very well beside you without pulling, is very mellow, and overall is very sweet and loves to wag his tail. Volunteers at the shelter also adore this boy, sharing:
“Diesel is the absolute gentlest guy there is. Extremely easy to leash. Very good walker. He does like to play fetch. This boy loves to cuddle and place his head on your lap or in your hands for comfort. He makes great eye contact. More driven by human connection rather than playing. This boy has so much love to give. I've been around Diesel since his intake and not once has he been reactive to any dog/ human. I’ve heard him do one soft bark and that was for attention. Otherwise, he’s extremely quiet.”
“Diesel enjoys getting a bath. He couldn't have been more accommodating getting in and out of the shower. So patient and grateful. He is very easy to love.”
Allergies are common in pibbles and Diesel needs a special diet and allergy medication to manage his own allergies. He’d love to find a foster or adoptive placement with a family will follow his regimen so that he can continue to feel good! Diesel would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit.
