I am a neutered male, blue and white Pit Bull Terrier mix.
Weight: I weigh approximately 51.00 lbs.
Age: The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old.

Bio: Maximus lived in his prior home most of his life and is experiencing a bit of shock finding himself in the overcrowded, noisy shelter. His former people said that he does well with other dogs and is a very friendly boy. He did spend some time in foster but did not see eye to eye with the cat in that home, so a slow intro or a home without cats may be best. Maxuimus prefers not to share his food with anyone else (me either), so needs a family who understands this and will feed him separately from other pets. Maximus has done well around kids and was described as being very loving with them. He can be nervous when meeting new people, so needs patience and help to feel brave in those situations. Maximus has shared his kennel with another shelter pup and was independent and kept to himself when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Once he knows and trusts you, he's affectionate and enjoys pets and scritches. He's very food- motivated so will do great with a savvy family willing to work on training. Maximus has allergies and will need bathes and medication. Ask about Maximus today!
