Bio: If you’re looking for an energetic, adventurous companion to join you on your explorations, look no further!! Zebedee is young, curious, and extra friendly- with a bit of training he’ll make the perfect pal to head off the beaten path with you! Or you know… to snuggle on the couch with you after a game of fetch in the backyard. He’s open to that kind of life too! Zebedee is super food motivated, so a few treats will be the key to his heart and his training routine.
During a brief stay in a home Zebedee was reportedly good with kiddos, good with other dogs, and was house trained. He was described as affectionate, playful and “an amazing dog” who loves toys, is good in the car, and is very sweet. Zebedee has returned to the shelter as a stray and we’d love to see him back in a loving home soon!!
Here’s what his volunteer friends have said:
“Zebedee is always in a good mood with a big smile on his face. I hung out with him and his kennelmate in a yard yesterday and all he wanted was to cuddle. He ran around a little but came right back to my lap. He’s such a cute puppy.”
“Zebedee is such a cheerful and happy dog- spending time with him is always an instant serotonin boost! He’s wiggly, goofy, affectionate, and energetic- just an all-around fun, friendly young dog.”
“Zebedee went to the yard to work on his obedience training. We also worked on waiting before leaving the kennel. He has a solid sit, so we worked on loose leash walking using the stop and go method. He responded by checking in with me when I stopped. We worked on wait at the gate, sit/stay and come. It’s wonderful to see improvement when just a month ago he didn’t know sit. He enjoys being petted and will solicit attention. He loves head and ear rubs and is very treat motivated.”
Zebedee has been social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet shelter favorite Zebedee today!!
