Bio: In 1988 Bobby McFerrin released his song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”. We have a dog who truly embodies this catchy song’s simple message and would love to have a worry free, happy forever home with you!
Bobby spent two weeks in a foster home- here’s what we learned:
- He was perfectly behaved when left home alone
- He is house trained
- He loved sleeping near his foster people at night
- He loves squeaky toys
- He’s a friendly, loving cuddle bug
“Bobby truly has the heart of a companion dog. He bonds quickly, loves deeply, and just wants to be near his people. Despite his playful side, he is wonderfully calm in the home and makes an excellent cuddle buddy. Anyone looking for a loyal, affectionate, goofy best friend will absolutely fall in love with him. Bobby also has some very endearing quirks. When he drinks water, he tends to get a little slobbery, so we keep a towel nearby to gently wipe his face. Over time, he actually started putting his snout toward the towel himself like he knows he’s getting cleaned up- it’s adorable. He also has very vivid dreams and will sometimes run or make little noises in his sleep, which is both funny and sweet to watch. These little personality traits really show how comfortable and expressive he is in a home environment.”
As if that rave review from his foster wasn’t enough, here’s what some of Bobby’s fans at the shelter have said:
“Bobby is an active and fun guy who loves his yard time. He’s an expert in zoomies. He can look like a running cheetah from afar because of his beautiful brindle coat! Bobby knows many tricks- his “sit” and “watch me” are perfect and he’s learning “paw”. He’s definitely eager to learn. I spent some time with him in a yard this week and found out he’s a cuddle bug after his initial zoomies. He took treats gently. Good boy Bobby!”
“Bobby is such a sweet boy. He’s super affectionate. He loves to be near you whether sitting or laying on the ground by your feet.”
“I absolutely ADORE Bobby!! He is such a fun-loving, SWEET guy! I took him out for a walk today and he was a great walking buddy. He was a casual walker who frequently checked in with me, making nice eye contact. We stopped for a little while to snuggle and he gave me the most gentle little kisses! He’s not only beautiful on the outside, but the inside too!”
Bobby would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit.
This perfect boy understands that every life has its share of troubles, but he isn’t worried that he’ll find happiness! We could all use a little more Bobby in our lives- ask to meet him today!!
