Bio: Nico is a very popular name these days; it’s a shortened form of the name Nicholas, which is of Greek origin and means “victorious people.” The victory that our Nico is looking for is winning his furever home!
Nico was found by a member of the public who shared that he was friendly, liked to play fetch, and walked well on a leash.
A shelter volunteer shared that Nico LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to play in the yard! He is playful ALL the time! He’s friendly yet independent, which is great news if you love dogs but are looking for a pup who’s not stuck to you like glue! Here’s what some of Nico’s other friends have said:
“I got to meet Nico the other day and take him to a yard- what a treat! In the yard, Nico was very easygoing and started to show more interest in interacting with me. He was very food motivated and held a perfect sit when asked! He was somewhat interested in toys- he liked the squeaking and would chase after them when thrown, but would walk away afterwards. By the end of our time in the yard, he was following me around. Nico would do great in a family with a little bit of patience and plenty of energy to play!”
“Nico is the goodest boy! He’s a friendly guy who is easy to handle. He has the softest and most beautiful coat. I love this good boy.”
Nico would like to meet any potential furry roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit. He may do best in a home with no kiddos, or one with older kiddos who understand how to appropriately interact with pets. Come meet Nico today!
